"Last Meet"

Oh My god,is the sun out,
Here I am, all set with a pout;
Waiting to meet my man,
I am scared, would i get tanned!

Waiting for you, in the coffee shop,
i rolled my hair, to make a bun on top;
was it the love crime?
cos the color of our dress, rhymed.

We sat down,
forgetting all the frown;
Looking at each other,
We burst out in laughter.

We promised not to fight
We had to set, everything right;
So we started with the usual stuff,
And discussed, about the weather so rough.

Then you said,things,
I nervously started to roll my rings;
It was the last meet you said,
My love life had just end.

You said you won't meet me ever,
I said never say never ever;
You told me to be practical
And not emotional

I asked why all this now?
What shall i do with the love?
You said, keep it aside,
Don't show it outside.

You said am your past now,
So stop,let this go;
Don't mix it with your present,
Keep me in dreams, as your crescent.

How to forget that special one?
Easier said, than done;
The one, who was my smile,
How to hide him in my heart even for a while?

"Love ka, THE END"

Oh yes its the end of us,

You told to move on;

Don't create a fuss,

Holding on!

You asked what is the use of such a love,

Which never gave any happiness;

Its was and is my rainbow,

Giving me,eternal bliss!

Oh yes its the end of us,
You told to move on;

Don't create a fuss,

Holding on!

Please stop,don't taunt,

Still there is the magical connection;

You are still the smile, i want,

With you around, life is a celebration,

Oh yes its the end of us,
You told to move on;

Don't create a fuss,

Holding on!

OK lets move on,

Lets forget we met,

Lets forget we were, a set

But wait,

What to do with the love i have in me for you,

How do i get rid, of these?

What to do with the memories of you,me and love,

How do i get these feelings to freeze?

Does the love end after a break up?

After having a conversation with someone very close, i started to wonder what happens to love, after break-up? When you love someone and you break-up where does the love go? Does it go away, with that very special person?

Karma Calling...

Its the call of Karma again,

Is it the fall of Dharma reign?

They say What goes around comes around?

Is it why the Earth is round?

I have often heard people talking about Karma, quoting " Its all because of your past Karma, that you are facing all these problems in the present ".This has always made me think , how can our past actions, in the current life and the past lives have an impact on our current life ?

How can this happen?, Is there someone handling this or there is someone ticking and making a list of your goods and bad. Don't know ! But the urge to know what is karma and does it have an impact?, has made me look into several books and articles.

So what is KARMA?

In simplest term, Karma means natural Law. Any thought or an act or deed which causes an effect or a reaction can be called "Karma".

What Impact does the Karma have on Us?

The law of Karma is the " Law of Causation ".

For example,you sow a seed(Action) ,it grows to be a plant(Reaction). It can be said that each action of our's either in thought or deed has a certain effect on who we are, and who we become. It is similar to Newton's third law of motion which states," For every Action there is an equal and opposite Reaction ".

Three different types of Karma, mentioned in the Indian Philosophy.

  • Sanchita karma, This is the first form of Karma which is in the seed state. This karma is dormant and has not yet started to mature and is the accumulated karma from this life and past life actions.

  • Kriyamana karma,This is the second form of Karma which is the current day to day karma that we perform today, and are shaping, which are soon to become seeds. Consider that these latent seeds will eventually reach maturity, and sprout at a future time, in life.

  • Prarabdha karma,This is the third form of Karma that has formed from mature seeds of the Sanchita Karma and is now active in our daily life. It is the resultant derived from the seeds sown from past actions.

So in brief, every action or thought of ours,which is good has a good result. And every, bad thought or action has a bad result or consequence to face. Karma is not a Moral Law. It has nothing to do with punishments or rewards.

It is just our actions or deeds whose consequences we got to bear.So your action makes you what you are.

So Think Good,

Be Good and

Do Good

Wind, Window, Wane!!

This is an Experimental Start, in the Blogging World !!!
We have tried to add different views to the same post, sectioning different parts to different people and finally look at the post in whole.

The first part was written by my Blogger friend and husband Anil Kulkarni. And the Part 2 by me.

Part 1: You can find the first part on anilwrites.blogspot.in/2012/04/wind-window-and.html

Contn'd Part 2:

The fragrance of her hair, hummmm I can still smell. It was so refreshing. I wanted to just get off my seat, go and sit with her, talk and touch her hands. My bus usually reaches bus bay by 9 pm in the morning and I still had 45 min left, to talk to her. I dint want to miss this chance, but I could not gather the guts to go and talk to her. So, I thought “OK let me talk to her after we get down from bus”.

Wind, Window, Wane !!!

Are you a Virgin?

Are you a virgin?
Is it important than my origin?
I want you to know,
Please listen,don't go

Don't be a hypocrite,
Because i want to share my secret,
I had a past,
Which din't last.

In the name of love,
Had my feelings shove,
Had my clothes shed,
We did share the bed.

Let me tell you first,
It wasn't lust,
It just passed away,
Before i could make hay.

Its been more than a year now,
No signs of the old love show,
Its the end ,
have no plans to mend.

Here i am starting fresh,
And there is no rush,
Waiting for someone special,
And the love to happen in real.

Gone are the days!!!

Gone are the days,
When women covered their faces under the veils,
When they knew less about the hymen,
And no idea about the semen .

In the love game,
Women go nude,
Then Because of shame,
They brood.

Now are the days,
when there is a virginity call,
In the marriage race,
No one wants to fall.

There are hymenoplasties done,
For all the fun ,
Truth isn't accepted by none ,
Everyone portrays to be a Nun

Virginity !!!! Is it overrated ?

Well-known philosopher and writer Voltaire once said:  ," It is an infantile superstition of the human spirit that virginity would be thought a virtue and not the barrier that separates ignorance from knowledge."

IS  VIRGINITY OVERRATED ? HOW? Yes, it is Overrated because, WE ARE LIVING IN THE MYTH. What was once considered a great deal has now become a word that's used very commonly and mostly among, girls ! The word is "Hymenoplasty". They all live in the myth that a broken hymen is because of intercourse, and they are getting it done because their prospective husbands will not accept them if the truth about their hymen was out.

Scientifically, hymen can rupture for the following reasons:

  • Active swimmer

  • Horse riding

  • Riding bikes

  • Athletic person

  • Sex

Not only sex, but a lot of other reasons can cause the rupture. At the same time the most commonest reason for the rupture still remains to be SEX.

BREAK THE ICE!

It's important to discuss,this is not something you run away from,this is something, you talk. Why we should talk? Because A hymen can be ruptured due to several reasons and sexual intercourse is just one of them. But, girls and boys know of only one reason and insist on getting it restored. This is the reason, why sex education becomes so important." Speaking of confusion that resides, not only in the minds of  youngsters, but also parents", Parents themselves are often confused as to what is the right age for them to talk 'sex' with their children.The only solution for this being, meet a counselor and take suggestions, and talk to your kids about the ill effects of the Pre-marital sex.'

 WHERE IS THE BALANCE?

 We are still living in the dangerous double standard world where in still, the male supreme attitude prevails.

                                "Being Virgin is the best gift you can give to your husband", What about your wife?

 I read this quote, somewhere online.When ever the word virginity comes out, its only spoken in relation to a girl. If it's a virtue for the girl , then it should be a virtue for the boy too. Where is the equality?. To be or not to be a virgin, is a different question, why this hypocrisy?

Please Follow what you preach!!!

TO BE OR NOT TO BE ?

It still remains a personal choice,but a piece of tissue can't be a virtue, Because the reasons how it can be lost are many, other than the sexual intercourse. It's not the question of a piece of tissue, but a personal choice," Some have happily lost, some have lost it in Love, some for Lust and others have zipped it up,waiting for that special one".

[AM not here to support pre-marital sex, MY CONCERN is ignorance about the topic among young boys and girls , hypocrisy and the confusion among parents.]

" It is one of the superstitions of the human mind to have imagined that virginity could be a virtue "

-Voltaire

" The First Dance "

I still remember, the first dance,
And, the first glance,
You pulled me, towards you,
And the love sparks flew,

Hand in hand, we stood,
Was this meant for good?,
You turned me round and round,
My feet weren't on the ground,

My heart, skipped a beat,
When u lifted me, off my feet,
Every step we danced, was like a mystery,
I must say, we had the finest chemistry.

" BIRTH and DEATH- The Two Sides of the Coin called LIFE "

" Life didn't teach you something, you just learn from it."

I don't know who quoted these lines, it was in the collection of Quotes on Life which i have. Probably,till date had not understood or in fact experienced what the quote meant. It was just in a minute that my entire world, stumbled down to pieces and i understood what it meant.

" We always feel, that we are controlling life,but its never WE ". We plan every night as to what should be cooked?,what to wear to work? and much more. But what if we don't get up the next morning?

This is what i experienced, I lost one of my loved one, unexpectedly. I was there for his last rituals and at the same time there was a new birth of a baby boy in my family, in the same hospital where i lost my loved one.

I was shattered, after the death of my loved one, i felt that's the end of my world, but world dint stop ,neither did my work. Everything went on to be the same ,Life doesn't wait for anyone.Then Life, itself gave me the reason to smile in the sorrow and the reason was, a new member in the family.

Life's weird, I visited India to be with the new arrived soul and to give a farewell to the old departing soul. Life slapped me with the tears, of both happiness and sadness.
Yes,this is life,it moves on and we all are moving towards one thing which we all know but we never talk about it "The Death"

Each day we spend we are heading towards that unspoken truth of the Life,"The Death". Aren't WE?

Should this discourage us? "NO", the pain of loosing someone is immense and that place can never be refilled by any joy but LIFE's like this,Its a cycle of the old and new souls.The faster you accept ,sooner you will understand the worth of every minute of your LIFE. And you "LIVE LIKE, YOU ARE ALIVE EVERY MINUTE ".

Is an Extramarital Affair always "Physical" ?

An Extra-marital affair need not always be, Physical.There can be an Emotional Infidelity which crops in eventually. In an emotional affair, one person relies on some other person outside the marriage for their emotional needs.

These kind of affairs are difficult and sometimes don't end because of the Emotional dependence on that X person outside the marriage.This is worst than the Physical Dependence.

Common reasons as to why it occurs?
The growing Emotional distance between Spouses becomes the most important reason and this may occur because of many underlying reasons:
  • The competitive work pressures,which keep either of the spouse away from the home.
  • The distance which is created when there is a power struggle situation,automatically the other person withdraws from the spouse who tries to control.
  • The less reciprocation nature of either of the spouses.
  • And many more nothing specific.

Looking for Solution:
  • First and foremost. Identify the problem and the wish to solve it.
  • Then the means by which u contact that "x" person, keep them at a distance.
  • Start fresh. Look at each of your positives.
  • Take up new hobbies.
  • Take tours with your spouse.
  • Discuss your emotional needs.
  • Be patient with each other and less offending.
  • Remember and re-write your vows.

Remembering of the vows,"the seven vows in the Hindu Marriage" has answers to all the problems.
The seventh vow in that talks about the everlasting companionship and togetherness where in the bride and the bride-groom accept to live like friends, sharing the life's sorrows and joys.

"The Seven Sacred Vows" in a Hindu Marriage.

When it come to Indian Weddings words like, Big, Fat, Exuberant, Extravagant, Celebration, Dance, Music, Bright Colors, Saris, Mahendi, Jasmine, Roses, Fancy lights, Sweets and Amazing food comes to our mind.

Irrespective of the style and size of the Wedding, one thing remains to be common for all the Hindu Weddings and that is "The Seven Sacred Vows/ Sapthapadi /The seven Steps".These Vows are sworn, while the Bride-groom holds the little finger of the Bride and walks around the Fire or Agni.

This is one of the most important ritual in an Indian Hindu Wedding.The Seven Vows serve as a Guiding Principle for the Marriage.In simpler words, it guides both the Man and the Woman as to how they should live with each other, with mutual respect, love and care all Life.

Let us see the vows:

  • First vow: With the first step they promise to provide Pure and Nourishing food.
  • Second vow: With the second step they promise to develop Physical,Mental,Spiritual strength.
  • Third vow: With the third step they promise to share the Worldly Pleasures.
  • Fourth vow: With the fourth step they promise to acquire Knowledge,Happiness and Peace.
  • Fifth vow: With the fifth step they promise to raise strong and Virtuous Children.
  • Sixth vow: With the sixth step they promise to enjoy Fruits of all seasons together like Joys and Sorrows.
  • Seventh vow: With the seventh step they promise to always remain Friends and Cherish each other all Life.

These vows were, and still are the Principle guidelines to lead a Happy Marriage.

"The each Vow taken is to be lived forever and more".

"Well,I will have you know ,I am as capable as any Man"

It was 01st of May, late night , I entered your womb Mother and my Journey in this so called Big,Mad,Mean yet Beautiful world started. I was 18 weeks old when you drank lots of water and you went to a room and lay down.There was an aunt in a white coat standing beside you,applying something on your tummy and there was some sound.

After that I could only hear you cry.I dint know why?. I saw you and father tensed, you were talking to the aunt in white coat .Then one fine day I was sucked out. I never stayed in your womb for nine months.

You killed me mother, because I was you.

Yes,I was a gal. If you had let me be alive,I would have grown to be a Young,Beautiful,Aspiring woman with self-respect, that I was You, I was a Woman.What makes me less than any man?
What made you and father kill me,when I am....
