In the year 2014,Bollywood has seen a series of woman centered movies.Movies celebrating womanhood,movies on women related issues,movies on women in politics or as simple as celebrating their aspirations.Movies made in this genre has not only got them into the game but also the name and fame.
Movies like Highway, Queen, Gulabgang and recently Bobby Jasoos all of them have made their way into the audiences heart.The commonest thing in all of these movies was Women of India.
It can be Veera in Highway born to a Business tycoon or Bobby from Bobby Jasoos born in a lower middle class family,both of them were made to do sacrifices.Each in a different way!How these women emerge out is quiet encouraging.It can be Rani from Queen finding her true self in a foreign land or Rajjo in Madhopur fighting and finding her inner strengths.
Its sad, to see this is still the current affairs but if we look at the brighter part, the stories don't end with a bad note.They end with a sense of pride, soulfulness, self-respect and confidence
Yes, probably it may be the Mantra,but somewhere it is creating a wave.The wave of realization that what we women are and what we can be.
